How to Volunteer

Volunteering isn't always an easy process to begin. It takes time and effort to think through how, exactly, you wish to spend these precious hours of your life. Often, it takes a conversation, with a knowledgeable and caring individual, to help you navigate the plethora of opportunities available.

With the help of the United Way, and many generous residents, Lake County Cares (formerly the Volunteer Center of Lake Forest/Lake Bluff) has been matching interested people with interesting volunteer opportunities for more than 40 years.

We are proud to continue the tradition of promoting volunteerism in Lake County and hope you will contact us, or peruse our website, to explore just HOW you can make a difference volunteering.
